Help Wanted: Volunteer Disciplinary Officer

York Eagles Junior Basketball Club are looking for a Volunteer to take on the role of Disciplinary Officer for the

club.


The Disciplinary Officer is responsible for upholding the club’s code of conduct and ensuring a safe and fair

environment for all participants.


The role is to maintain the standards of discipline within the Club by investigating and dealing with any

allegations of foul play or misconduct fairly, consistently and efficiently and in line with Basketball England

Regulations.


Duties to include:


- Deal with all misconduct charges within the club

- Hold internal club disciplinary hearing for players as necessary

- To be responsible for all discipline queries in conjunction with the Club Welfare Officer (CWO)

- To provide information to the club members and players in relation to disciplinary matters

- Liaise with the safeguarding at Basketball England regarding disciplinary matters involving the club

- Provide information for the club website with any issues relating to discipline

Required Skills:


- Ability to manage conflict

- Organisational, time management and communication skills

- Interpersonal skills


The Disciplinary Officers responsibilities will sometimes overlap with those of the Club Welfare Officer.
